Liverpool v Manchester – Women’s – 08/11/2015

The day started with an away game against Manchester HC at the Soccer Dome. The girls were pumped for the game and wanted a positive win from the start.

We decided to change our Away (White) to Green, due to the previous unlucky events and minibus breaking down for the previous Away Leeds Game.

The game started off with a 2 minutes silence from Both Liverpool Ladies HC  and Manchester HC to commemorate Remembrances Day around the circle.

At the start, the goals from Liverpool Ladies HC were being matched by Manchester like for like throughout the first half of the match, with a 1 – 2 goal lead all the way through, and a half time score of 9 – 11 to Liverpool Ladies HC.

There was some outstanding play from two high scoring players Anna Wojtowicz and Yuliya Shlyakhova with significant goals from both sides, with other goals coming in from Allison Woods, Carolyn Dowling, Angie Williams,  Louise Robinson,  and Malgorzata Janus.  Player of the match went to our Goal Keeper Kaja Wojtowicz who was magnificent and kept potential goals from Manchester HC from being increased throughout the game.. Saving some excellent high quality penalties. Liverpool Ladies played on and went through the game with gusto and team spirit to the end to take the win.

The next game is against Manchester Hawks on Sunday 15th November at IM March Campus. We welcome spectators to come along and watch the game.

We wish Manchester HC all the best moving forward on their future games!
